This is a great venue to listen to great music in a non-smoking environment -who wants smoky-smelling hair?- They present a wide variety of music, all kinds of jazz; folk, blues & roots music; experimental music; classical music; international music; kid’s programs; poetry & spoken word; theater and performance art; puppets; and visual arts exhibits. This is a member-supported, non-profit arts organization, so come out have a good time and support the arts!
When it comes to live theater, I enjoy the Small venues as much, if not more, than the big ones. Albuquerque has various small quaint theaters with quality actors and whenever possible you will see me out supporting our local actors and small venues. See the scheduled performances going on now.
I can’t say enough about this wonderful event held in Albuquerque every year. I went to the first one and I can’t stop telling people about it. You must go to this event featuring artists from all over the world. Check out Globalquerque performance schedule for this year. Put in on your September calendar!
